FAQs & What to Expect

Your questions are welcome. Your safety and clarity matter.

1. Who are these immersions for?

These immersions are for people who are ready to address what isn’t working in their life. You do not need prior experience. You do need willingness to be honest, openness to doing real work, readiness to engage fully in the process.

2. Is it safe to travel to Mexico right now?

Puerto Vallarta is one of the most established and stable travel destinations in Mexico. We operate in well-known areas, work with trusted local partners, and maintain clear safety protocols throughout the immersion. We’ve hosted many international participants without incident.

3. What about the U.S. travel advisories I’ve read?

U.S. travel advisories often cover entire states, not specific cities or towns. It’s important to distinguish between headlines and the actual experience of travelers on the ground. We have never had a safety issue at Merkaba Immersions, and we stay informed of all regional updates to keep our guests protected and at ease.

4. What if I’m still nervous about traveling?

It’s normal to feel some nerves — especially with international travel. We support you with preparation, clear communication, and answers to any concerns that come up. If traveling to Mexico doesn’t feel right, we can also come to your location for a private immersion.

5. Final Note from Christopher & Aeon about traveling to Mexico:

We’ve built this work through years of experience and continue refining it based on safety, feedback, and results. If you have questions, we’re here to answer them directly.

6. For those considering ceremonial experiences

We offer guided ceremonial experiences where appropriate. These are carefully prepared, professionally facilitated, and supported with preparation and integration Please schedule your complimentary call with Christopher & Aeon to discuss.

7. Do I need to stop taking medications before the immersion?

In many cases, yes. Certain medications — especially SSRIs (antidepressants), MAOIs, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, and mood stabilizers — can create unsafe or incompatible interactions with certain sacraments These combinations can blunt the experience, reduce effectiveness or create unwanted psychological effects, or (in rare cases) be physically dangerous.

8. What if I’m on antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication?

If you’re taking medication like Lexapro, Prozac, Zoloft, or similar, it’s essential to have a conversation with our team well in advance. We will explore your specific situation with care. Do not discontinue any medication without medical supervision.

In many cases, a safe and supported tapering period is required — often 6–8 weeks or more before working with earth sacraments. We can refer you to professionals who understand both the medical and spiritual aspects of preparation.

9. What if I don’t want to come off my medications?

That’s completely okay. Some participants join our retreats without working with sacraments, and still receive deep transformation through breathwork, ceremony, coaching, and integration. We will work with you based on your current needs and what is safe and appropriate.

10. Can I still attend if I’m tapering off or just recently came off?

Possibly. This is handled on a case-by-case basis, depending on the medication, dosage, length of time on it, and your physical/emotional state. Some medicines require several weeks or months of full detox before ceremony is considered safe.

We will always prioritize your safety and nervous system stability over rushing the process.

11. Is the immersion safe?

Safety is the foundation of our work. All participants are screened via application to ensure appropriate fit, and our team is trained in trauma-informed care and emergency protocols. We also work with on-call local medical providers if needed.

12. What’s included in the immersion package?

  • 7-day immersive experience

  • Private villa accommodations

  • Guided sessions and structured processes

  • Optional excursions (skydiving, boating, zip-lining, etc.)

  • Daily movement, breathwork, and group work

14. What is integration and why does it matter?
